$15.00 Entry Each.

Prizes:
(Each Entry adds 3 packs to the prize pool)

1st Place - 30% of Prize Pool
2nd Place - 20% of Prize Pool
3rd Place - 15% of Prize Pool
4th Place - 15% of Prize Pool
5th Place - 5% of Prize Pool
6th Place - 5% of Prize Pool
7th Place - 5% of Prize Pool
8th Place - 5% of Prize Pool

PLUS, We will add Additional Prizes based on a turnout of More than 30 Players.

FORMAT:

UNSANCTIONED Proxy Type 1 Format
Swiss Pairing Format with 50-Minute Timed Rounds.
Top 8 Play-Offs will be Best 2-out-of-3; 50 Minutes Timed
The Final will be Best 2 out of 3 with a 90 Minute Time limit.

From the South:
Take the 400 Highway north to the Duckworth Exit, and hang a right onto Duckworth Street. Take Duckworth Street 1 Block to the intersection of Duckworth and Bell Farm. Take a Right onto Bell Farm Rd, and we are in the Plaza on the right (first driveway on the right).

From the North:
Take the 400 Highway SOUTH to the Duckworth Exit, and Hang a Left under the bridge. Follow Duckworth Street to the intersection of Duckworth and Bell Farm. Take a Right onto Bell Farm Rd, and we are in the Plaza on the right (first driveway on the right).

And don't forget that you can take the GO Train or GO BUS to Barrie, and take one of 5 Busses that come within 1 block of the store (i suggest the St. Vincent, as it stops right in front of our driveway

There is PLENTY of FREE PARKING, and we now have a PIZZA HUT / WING STREET just steps (literally) from our store.

Debit and Credit Card Sales are available on site. There is also an ATM in the plaza.

Hey everybody,

I'm going to put this to you, the players:

I have offered this event as a CARD / Credit event. However, I am more than willing to spice things up.

I have a Mox Pearl, most definitely played, but still $250-275.

Well, here's the deal:

I MIGHT be inclined to put it up BUT NOT AS FIRST PRIZE. I was thinking of running a SIDE event of sorts. A $10.00 buy in, with the HIGHEST PAID FINISHER taking home the Mox. If we got more than 30 People, I'd (of course) increase the prize to a better mox. I would need at least 22 people to “BUY IN” to do this. (That happens to be how many people came to the last Type 1 event).

I think it would be an interesting way to reward. Since not everyone wants to pay the big entry, it gives them a chance to play for packs / credit (as I will still be offering my trade-in program on prizes). However, this would ALSO mean that someone could conceivably take home the first prize of 30% of the prize pool in packs AND a MOX. That’s a POTENTIAL a $400.00 payday for first.

If you like this idea, PLEASE let me know. That would make the entry $25.00 (instead of $15.00), but would increase the prizes.

The OTHER IDEA would be a $5.00 buy-in, and if at least 20 people bought in, the highest PAID finisher would have there prize DOUBLED (That would be a 130% pay out of the original prize pool in either credit or packs). For those who remember some of my older events, it’s called “Double Down”. Its like Babe Ruth Calling his shot: You call the win AND you do it, you double up on what you would have won.

And, as our new standard, Top 8 will be UNTIMED.

IF we didn't get to the prerequisite 20 or 22 people, whatever was brought in on either EXTRA prize option would be paid out to the top finisher anyway. This way if we get 10 people to "double down", we'd simply add an additional $50.00 to the prize pool. Same thing with the "MOX" option. If we only got 10 people, we'd pay out $100 in prizes to the top paid finisher.

We want to make sure that our Payouts are as BIG as we can.
